From our founding in 1996 by Sonya Kennedy, CDC has brought excellence to the local dance community! Our staff is continually attending conferences, conventions, and webinars to keep on top of their game and guarantee that each class is the best it can be. Every dancer is encouraged to grow, to reach their goals, and given the tools to become successful adults in the real world.
We don't just teach dance; we teach life lessons to music! Our staff is always looking for ways to fine-tune our studio, our teaching, our technique, and our dancers. We maintain a curriculum through all levels, beginning with our 2-year-olds, and it really shows! CDC is home to many professional dancers, aerialists, and even a World Dance Champion.

Marie has been dancing since she was three years old and joined CDC's competitive team at age ten.
She has won many awards, including Miss Teen Dance, California Arts Scholarship, numerous Top 10 Overall Awards, and CDC's Senior Dancer Award.
She has also performed for numerous local teams including Team Rave, Shasta College's production of The Nutcracker and Chico's Just Keep Dance Alive.
She has taught dance classes and choreography at various dance studios in Southern California, including for Terry Schulke at Just Plain Dancin'.

Tiny Tots classes introduce our youngest students to the world of dance!
From tap to tumbling, jazz to ballet, Tiny Tots will learn it all through games, music, and plenty of fun!
Mini classes give the opportunity for dancers to explore different styles as they grow and play!
BALLET or BALLET/TAP: Dancers will wear a light pink leotard, pink tights, and pink ballet slippers.
Ballet skirts welcome.
Ballet/Tap classes will also require black tap shoes.
JAZZ, HIP HOP, or COMBO: Dancers are welcome to wear leotards and skirts, tank tops and leggings, or t-shirts and shorts that allow for free range of movement.
