FDA's highly acclaimed faculty are certified from organizations such as British Association of Dance Teachers, Cecchetti Council of America, Dance Educator's and Dance Masters of America.

For almost 40 years, since its founding in 1983 by Sue Dail and Pam York, Forest Dance Academy has sustained a remarkable reputation as an institution committed to dancers of all ages and abilities.
Over three decades later, acclaimed for its devotion to the consistent growth and evolution of dance education, FDA still serves an ever growing community of young dance artists.
From 2006-2011 Forest Dance Academy was under the leadership of a new generation with Karen Hamlet and Michelle Thomas.
While maintaining the school's core values and commitment to quality, those years have seen their relentless pursuit of groundbreaking new programs that have propelled the school to the forefront of the community's dance scene.

Spring Production Costumes

The costume fees are $75.00 for Tiny Tots, Creative Movement, Kinderdance, Young Acro & Mini Acro, Pee Wee & Mini Hip Hop or $85.00 for all Primary, Elementary, Intermediate, Advanced and Adult classes.
2. Participation in any of the FDA Productions is encouraged, but optional.
Failure to notify the office by the deadline above will result in your full responsibility of payment for all costume costs.

Picture Day

Please be ready 20 minutes before your scheduled picture time.
This is very important as dancers have missed their class photos in the past due to tardiness.
Dancers need to arrive in their first costume with hair and make-up completed.
Please follow your costume checklist for details on costumes, hair and accessories (checklists are sent home in the costume garment bag).
Make-up should be worn.
Individual photos will not be taken without payment and your payment must include the sitting fee.
All times are estimated, we will do our best to stay on schedule however your patience is greatly appreciated!.

2021 Summer Camps & Intensives

This extraordinary summer program offers children with special needs the opportunity to explore the art of dance.
Ballet is the foundation to all types of dance and students will learn the fundamentals and its role in the whole dance experience.
In tap they will experience movement and music while they discover how to move their feet to the rhythm.
Jazz is an all-time favorite as the free spirit within moves to contemporary music.
Lyrical will give them a chance to tell a story through their dancing while incorporating the meaning of the music's lyrics.

Please find you name and assignment and continue to the register for classes here tab located on this website and follow the instructions accordingly to register for this fall's classes.
Our teachers work very diligently to ensure that every dancer is properly placed in the correct level class to best assure their continued growth as a dancer from both a technical and performance level.
With over 50 classes per week we are sure to find the right class placement for you.
