Each year, our competitive teams, soloists, and coaches bring home multiple overall awards, platinum and gold adjudication awards, and judge's awards from competitions throughout the Midwest. Our competitive dancers, tumblers, and teachers put in a lot of work throughout the year to make this happen. We are so proud of them! We have dance classes for kids of all ages and skill levels.
We teach all the most popular styles of dance, including ballet, hip hop, tap, jazz, contemporary, and lyrical. We offer advanced adult dance classes, as well as beginner dance classes for adults, including hip hop, ballet, pointe, jazz, and tap. Our intermediate and advanced tumbling classes compete their routines during the competition season. In the evening, we offer tumbling classes for beginners of all age groups, as well as an all level tumbling classes for extra practice.
Sheryl began her dance career at the age of 12 and Shannon began dancing at age 3 and competing at age 9. Both began teaching dance at 15 years old.

Our Story

Sheryl Huggins was 9th out of 10 children.
Growing up in the 60's in a single income, 10 child family, she didn't even ask for dance lessons until all of her older siblings were out of the house.
Then, she thought, just maybe her parents could finally afford it.
At the age of 12, she took her first dance lesson and immediately fell in love.
Through years of homemade costumes and driving 3 hours to get wholesale costumes, she observed just how expensive dance was.
She started teaching at 15 to help offset the cost.

The prestigious SOE Award is given to outstanding dance studio owners whose students and staff exemplify the values of the ADCC (Association of Dance Conventions and Competitions) by national and regional competitions who belong to the ADCC.
These include working together, sportsmanship, and striving for excellence.
Winning studios receive ADCC membership, a plaque, window decal, recognition on the ADCC website, and a feature in Competitive Advantage dance magazine.

Tumbling Classes

We offer recreational and competitive tumbling classes for kids of all ages and skill levels.
We use tumbling mats, belts, boards, and other tools to help your child learn and practice correct tumbling technique and form.
Class levels are based on knowledge and unassisted execution of pre-specified foundational skills.

We offer beginning, intermediate, advanced, and adult technique classes.
Since dance trends are always changing, every technique class is at least a little bit different from the last.
All students hoping to be on one of our competition teams must complete at least 1 year of technique before they are permitted to tryout unless otherwise approved.
Technique classes are also a great way to help dancer's prepare for school dance team tryouts.
We offer beginning, intermediate, advanced, and adult technique classes.
