Currently we are using our social dis-dance boxes in the classrooms, limiting the number of students per class, and promoting the use of hand sanitizer and frequent handwashing. Students and adults who are fully vaccinated are not required to wear a mask while in the studio. MusicWorks! offers a wide variety of dance classes for boys and girls, ages 2.5 to adult.
Our classes focus on proper technique, dance terminology, posture, self-expression, and most of all.fun! With private and group instruction in a variety of music classes, MusicWorks! Music program offers all students the opportunity to enjoy a well-rounded music education. The lessons learned in theater reach far beyond the stage. From teamwork, to public-speaking, to effective problem-solving, students in our theater program shine both on and off the stage.

Studio of Performing Arts is centrally located just off of US Hwy 23/74 at 99 Kingdom Hall Drive in Clyde/Lake Junaluska area.
From our studio you will also have easy access to several local businesses including several grocery stores, medical facilities, and plenty of restaurants and fast-food establishments.
Our beautifully-renovated facility features three dance studios with sprung floors and Marley dance floor covering.
Our largest studio features a 1,200-square-foot stage and seating for 125 audience members, which allows for a variety of in-house productions and events.

When it comes to youth theater, our philosophy is simple: Education comes before, during, and after a performance.
Students learn compassion, empathy, responsibility, teamwork and leadership skills.
They learn how to take direction and give direction in a positive and constructive manner.
Theater strengthens trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills.
Theater teaches kids how to be valuable, effective, and kind members of a community.

Music Program

Intended for beginning level piano students ages 5+.
Students are divided by ages (5-7; 8-10; and 11-13) and each age division will have no more than 4 class members who meet together weekly.
Students will be provided with individual keyboards for use during piano lab.
Students are required to have their own keyboard/piano or access to a keyboard for daily practice.
If you need help selecting a keyboard please contact "Strains of Music" at 456-3331 or ask Ms. Lynne for assistance.
Learning an instrument takes time, patience, and dedication.

Performing Companies

Our MusicWorks! Performing Companies offer the serious tapper more intense training and performance opportunities.
Members of the tap companies attend Company class 1 day per week, along with a jazz class and one additional tap technique class.
The Performing Companies will participate in 1-2 dance/talent competitions in the spring in addition to local parades, the Holiday Showcase and the annual June recital.
Performing Company dancers also have opportunities to perform in the community, take class from master teachers, and will travel to dance conventions throughout the year.
