At LAAPA, we offer private piano instruction for ages 5 through adult, tailored to each student's unique musical interests and goals. Our experienced instructors specialize in a variety of styles including classical, jazz, and contemporary. Lessons are structured to be fun, progressive, and educational. Our expert guitar faculty guide each student through a structured yet flexible curriculum designed around personal goals. Weekly private lessons are customized for acoustic, electric, and even ukulele instruction based on age and preference. With opportunities to perform and collaborate in group classes, students enjoy a well-rounded, enriching learning journey with no extra fees for enrichment labs. 
At LAAPA, we provide personalized vocal training in a professional yet nurturing environment. Students receive guidance in developing their voice through structured private lessons and are encouraged to explore group enrichment opportunities. At LAAPA, our ballet instruction is designed to support every dancers journey, from the basics of barre to advanced pointe work. Classes are structured by level and age, ensuring appropriate progression and personalized attention. Our expert instructors emphasize strength, balance, and artistry. Students may begin at any time, with flexible scheduling and in-person or virtual options. 
Our Hip Hop program offers a dynamic, high-energy dance experience rooted in jazz and African movement. We emphasize safe, age-appropriate choreography while encouraging creativity and confidence. Students gain rhythm, coordination, and performance skills through structured lessons designed for all levels. Classes culminate in exciting recitals that showcase their progress and passion for dance.

Ive been taking private adult ballet lessons at LAAPA since April of 2021 and have had a few different ballet instructors during that time, but I have progressed so much with Karissa these past 2 years. There are things I never thought I would be able to accomplish as an adult who started dancing later in life that are absolutely on the table now. Im so happy I picked this studio for my lessons and that I have Karissa as my instructor!

I'm an adult student taking ukulele, violin, and music theory classes. My teachers Marissa (MC), Denise, and Chris are amazing. They are very patient and encouraging. I've had classes with a few other teachers for make up classes and they were great too. The staff is friendly, professional, and very personable. I am very impressed with how they've kept the programs going during the quarantine, and how they are handling Phase II. It's a great school.

We have enjoyed having our daughter, Christy, take guitar lessons with Mr. Bill and vocals with Ms. Kadi. Christy has been a student with River Ridge Academy for over 3 years. She continues to progress through their instructions. The teachers adapt easily to the learning styles of their students, making it enjoyable for them to stick with it and progress. We appreciate the positive and encouraging environment Christy walks into every week. Her teachers serve as mentors in the midst of their music lessons. Mr. Bill and Ms. Kadi will keep us involved with our daughters growth and where she has to push harder. We are happy to be a part of the school and appreciative for our contact having referred our family to River Ridge Academy.

Ive been taking my daughter, Olivia, to the River Ridge School of Music and Dance for voice lessons with Kadi once a week for about a month now, and we couldnt be more happy with how its going. Olivia talks about lessons and what shes learning throughout the week, wanting to practice and review, and really looks forward to her weekly lesson. Shes excited because she can see the progress shes already making. Id be happy to recommend the River Ridge School of Music and Dance and Kadi for voice lessons to anyone.
