There is nothing as beautiful as seeing someone communicate through dance. And, what better way is there to teach discipline, poise, and confidence? At Danceworks, we strive to provide a positive, challenging, and nurturing learning environment. We are located at at Waxahachie's Downtown Square on the 2nd floor. We offer Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Pointe, Contemporary, Acrobatics, Bitty Bop, Creative Movement, and Dance with Me classes.

This year, we are incorporating levels into our dance curriculum.
In the past, we have solely divided classes by grade level, but we believe in addition to this, we want to apply dance experience as well.

Students in higher levels may take lower level classes for additional technique during the week.

Tuition

The tuition is based upon the number of classes taken per week and on a 9-month enrollment calendar.
We prorate tuition for holidays and classes not in session.
Tuition is due by the first day of the month Ex.
We automatically charge tuition to your account through Jackrabbit on the 1st of each month.
You may write a check or pay in cash for the monthly tuition before the 1st of each month.

Dress Code

Dancewear and shoes are available through Nimbly, our online dancewear storefront, but have option to purchase at another dancewear store.
Students are required to have the specific shoes for the annual recital, along with dance classes.
Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary & Musical Theatre: Any color leotard and pink or tan tights.
Dance shorts or leggings may be worn over leotard for Tap, Jazz, Contemporary & Musical Theatre.
For Hip Hop, you may wear shorts, sweatpants, leggings, and a t-shirt over your leotard.
Students are required to have the specific shoes for the annual recital, along with dance classes.

In order to gain full benefit of the class, good attendance is a must.
Being prompt to class is also extremely important.
If your child is late, she may miss the warm ups that can help prevent injury.
If she is 15 minutes late or more to class, she may be asked to wait until the next class to enter.
This is because your child has missed the appropriate warm-up as mentioned above and it is very distracting and discourteous to the teacher and the other students who arrive on time.
The dancer must come to class in the appropriate clothes specified in the dress code.

Movers and Shakers Dance Company (MSDC) is entering into its 7th year and we are so excited for what we have in store.
The purpose behind MSDC is to not only provide our students with extra opportunities to dance, but also to give back to the community.
We want our students to be well rounded in dance, but also to be involved in the area.
We want the members of MSDC to be excellent dancers as well as have fun.
